FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - Consumer confidence index is expected to fall to the level of 4.9 points in November, following an upwardly revised 6.7 points in October, according to the latest report by Gfk Group.

October's initial estimation was 6.8 points and market had expected November's result to fall to the level of 6.5 points.

The drop in the index reflects the downturn in economic and income expectations, and the propensity to buy. The main factor to the decline in confidence is the increase in prices of food and energy resulting in lower income expectations and restraint in the inclination to buy.
