Gina Rodriguez References ‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’ In ‘Jane The Virgin’ Photo

Jane Gloriana Villanueva (Gina Rodriguez) is not afraid to showcase her sexy, sultry side this Season 4 of “Jane the Virgin.”

Things might be heating up in her romantic life, or she could be imagining a steamy love scene for her next novel. But whatever the case, Jane will be donning a special outfit reminiscent of “Fifty Shades of Grey” when the show returns this Jan. 26, Friday.

Rodriguez posted the photo on Instagram. In it, she had on a sky-high ponytail and black nails. She wore a semi-sheer black bustier with matching choker.

During the mid-season finale, Rafael Solano (Justin Baldoni) decided to be brave about his feelings for Jane and he kissed her. Jane seemed to have reciprocated the kiss, but does this mean they will get back together?

According to executive producer Jennie Snyder Urman, nothing is set in stone. The fact that she just got out of a relationship with Adam (Tyler Posey) means Jane isn’t quite ready for love again. Not to mention, it wasn’t a long way back that Rafael fell back in love with his ex-wife, Petra, and toyed with the emotions of Katherine Cortes (Katherine Meneses).

“Whether it is or isn’t is going to be a question as we come back from our break. Jane has just cycled through this heartbreak with Adam. She had taken a step forward in her grieving over Michael, and she had allowed herself to fall in love again. Rafael sees a small window, and he decides to step into it and go with his heart,” Urman told TV Line. “We see that, in the past, there was a moment where he almost did it, but he didn’t. It felt like the right time for the series and for the two of them, where they still have so much to unpack and so much to get over. A lot of the hurt and the actions that were taken in the first half of the season are still there.”
