The Giving Keys celebrated the launch of their new key necklace in matte black with an exclusive event on Thursday, September 29. Held at and in partnership with RVCC, the members only social club in Downtown Los Angeles, the party featured a DJ set by breakout DJ/ Producer Kim Anh and closed out the evening with a special performance by two-time Juno Award-winning artist, SEBELL.
The Giving Keys was founded by actress-singer Caitlin Crosby who was inspired by the mantra "pay it forward." The company employs people transitioning out of homelessness to make and assemble jewelry crafted from repurposed keys. Each piece is stamped with an inspirational word like DREAM, STRENGTH, HOPE, etc., and the wearer is encouraged to embrace their word, then pay it forward by giving their product to a person who needs the message more.
In celebration of their new collection, The Giving Keys debuted their classic best-selling necklace, re-imaged in a bold, matte black style, and presented each guest with their own personal product.
Following brand President Britt Gilmore’s presentation, Kendrick Sampson was so moved that he requested a tour of headquarters in order to meet the individuals who create The Giving Keys. He said the BELIEVE Key he received at the event meant so much to him because that one word inspired him to never give up on his dreams to act. Also in attendance was “The Bachelorette” star Luke Pell who serendipitously received a hand-stamped LOVE Matte Black key necklace.
Other brand supporters Tajh Mowry and Serinda Swan posed with friends in the interactive photo booth curated by renowned Brazilian photographer Cacá Santoro as part of her Projector Series.
