Though Empress of Soul Gladys Knight was eliminated during week six of Dancing with the Stars, she left the stage with a different prize -- a slimmer, healthier body.

The 67-year-old soul singer, who was ironically voted off during Motown Week, says that since joining the show and training with her partner Tristan McManus, she's danced her way to 60 pounds worth of weight loss.

He helped [by] wearing me out, Knight told People Magazine. You've got to eat healthy and you've got to put a little movement into it, she reportedly said backstage, after she was eliminated from the show on Tuesday night.

The singer also reportedly stuck to a diet, eating pre-rehearsal meals of PowerBars, protein drinks and fruit.

Knight's weeks of training and dancing were put to the test in the last dance duel, against Roshon Fegan, after Gladys and Tristan received the lowest score. Knight's face-off with the 20-year-old Disney star ended with the judges saving Fegan, and sending Knight home, despite Carrie Ann Inaba's attempts to save the Motown legend.

Knight, who barely complained about her aching left knee from a previous surgery during the competition, had no sour words to share with the judges about her elimination.

I am so just amazed at this journey, she said, according to the Daily Mail. It's been absolutely extraordinary.

A slimmer body was not the only thing Knight took from the show.

[I won't forget] the family and friends I've made, the knowledge I've gained, she said, according to People Magazine. It wasn't just about dancing, but getting to know different personalities and how they operate and carry themselves. There are so many life lessons here.
