GM union retirees to forego dentist, some prescription benefits: report

General Motors Corp. union retirees will forego dentist and some prescription drugs benefits, people familiar with the talks told Bloomberg.

These concessions would match similar agreements reached by Chrysler LLC retirees on July 1, the people said, not wanting to be identified because the details are not public.

Unemployment benefits cuts and work rule changes at GM would also be similar to those already at Chrysler, the people said.
