MUMBAI: Persistent offerings from stockists and some investors shifting their funds towards rising stock market, hit gold prices at the bullion market here on Monday.

Gold prices resumed sharply lower by Rs 200 per ten grams to Rs 11,910 while Silver also declined on lack of industrial demand.

Standard gold (99.5 purity) dropped further by Rs 200 per ten grams to Rs 11,910 from the last weekend's level of Rs 12,110.Pure gold (99.9 purity) also fell to Rs 11,970 from Rs 12,170 previously.

Silver ready (.999 fineness) also resumed lower by Rs 140 per kilo to Rs 22,535 from Rs 22,675 previously.
