Gold Target Raised to $2000 on July 16 2011

Gold hit an all time high again today breaking the $1640 mark and now heading to $2000.

The target price for Gold in 2011 was raised to $2000 on July 16 2011 by Shayne Heffernan and Paul Ebeling based on the confusion surrounding Government debt and the status of the global financial system.

Government Debt, inept administration and poor economic planning have only just begun to press Gold higher, a move that we could see continue over the next few years as the world enters a decade of debt.

Rising interest in commodities, including gold, from investment funds in recent years has been a major factor behind bullion's rally to historic highs. Gold's strong performance in recent years has attracted more players and increased inflows of money into the overall market.

Many gold buyers want a hedge against the risk of inflation or possible declines in the value of the dollar or other currencies. Both are serious potential risks that are worthy of precautionary hedges. Although inflation is now low in the United States, Europe, and Japan, households and institutional investors have reason to worry that the low interest rates and the extensive creation of bank reserves could lead to inflation when economic recovery takes hold.
