The Golden State Warriors (11-4) fell out of first place in the Western Conference standings Thursday night with their loss to the Boston Celtics. Trailing the Houston Rockets by a half-game, the defending champs will need to pick up some wins on the road in order to regain their top spot.

Golden State’s visit to Boston was the start of a four-game road trip. The Warriors’ upcoming schedule includes games with the Philadelphia 76ers, Brooklyn Nets and Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Warriors return home for matchups with the Chicago Bulls, New Orleans Pelicans and Sacramento Kings. Golden State’s last game in November comes against the Los Angeles Lakers, starting a six-game road trip.

Compared to what their schedule looked like to start the year, Golden State will get a bit of a reprieve over the next few weeks. Philadelphia (8-6) and New Orleans (8-7) are the only winning teams that the Warriors will face until November ends. Golden State’s first 15 games included a matchup with each of the NBA’s top seven teams.

With the emergence of Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons as potential All-Stars, the 76ers have the best record of any upcoming opponent. Golden State defeated Philadelphia by 21 points at Oracle Arena on Nov. 11.

Oklahoma City hasn’t gotten off to a hot start after bringing in Paul George and Carmelo Anthony. The trio of George, Anthony and Russell Westbrook might finally be gelling now that they’ve won three straight games. All three players, like Golden State’s “Big 3,” are averaging more than 20 points per game.

Before losing to Boston, Golden State had won seven straight games, outscoring their opponents by a combined 139 points. Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry both rank among the NBA’s top-10 scorers.

All of the upcoming games will be broadcast on NBC Sports Bay Area.
