Goldie Hawn is returning to the big screen after 14 years. Her absence from the business, however, wasn’t due to her lack of enthusiasm for films.

“I was doing other things that fascinated me, to tell you the truth,” Goldie said of her time away ahead of CinemaCon’s Big Screen Achievement Award in Las Vegas last month. “I took a break... it was a real reboot. It was great.”

Her break abruptly came to an end when comedic actress Amy Schumer approached her about doing a mother-daughter comedy.

“Amy came up to me and presented something,” Hawn dished during a press conference, attended by International Business Times. “I really started thinking about, ‘Am I done? Should I go back? Is there going to be something.’”

Of course, along came “Snatched,” and the rest is history. Schumer and Hawn’s big screen debut is just over a month away.

In the 20th Century Fox film, Schumer plays Hawn’s daughter who brings her mother to South America after her boyfriend dumps her before they can go on their non-refundable romantic getaway.

While it is unclear if Hawn has any other films lined up after “Snatched,” she does have requirements when it comes to her co-stars.

“I have a lot of requirements. Hot is not one of them,” Goldie told International Business Times when asked which star she’d like to partner with next. “When you think about what you want he’s got to be funny, talented, sexy, and he’s got to have a nice face. He doesn’t have to be gorgeous.”

“Snatched” hits the big screen May 12.
