“The Good Place” star Jameela Jamil went for a casual outfit for the 2020 Emmy Awards, opting to go braless in pajamas.

The 72nd Emmy Awards had a more relaxed dress code due to the pandemic, and Jamil took advantage of that by wearing something comfortable as she waited for the names of the winners to be called on Sunday, Sept. 20. The actress gave her fans an update on what she donned for the awards ceremony in an Instagram post.

“No bra? No heels? NO PROBLEM,” Jamil wrote as caption for a photo showing her sitting comfortably on a blue couch. “Wearing PJ’s to the 72nd Emmy awards (from my house) is my kind of vibes. Excited to see if we win any of the 7 awards we have been nominated for!!!!”

Jamil sported a white JJwinks set that included the brand's Happy Hour Pant and Slumber Party Top, Us Weekly reported. She completed the look with a Markarian NYC ombré sequin coat dress from the brand's spring/summer 2019 collection.

Despite going without a bra and heels for the awards ceremony this year, Jamil still dolled herself up a little for the event to pay tribute to Tahani Al-Jamil, her sassy and glamorous character on the hit NBC show “The Good Place.”

“I still did my make up and wore a sequin dressing gown. Because… It’s what Tahani would have wanted. And this is her day, not mine,” Jamil wrote.

In another Instagram post, Jamil shared her makeup routine to give fans an idea of how to get “red carpet ready” in under 10 minutes. She also reiterated that she did her makeup for the 2020 Emmys because that’s what “Tahani would want.”

On the E! News pre-show, Jamil revealed that doing her own makeup isn’t out of the ordinary, saying, “I've always done my own makeup even on 'The Good Place.' I'm obsessive about it.”

As a safety measure, celebrities didn’t flock to the red carpet and show off their lavish outfits this year. Producers also said that the dress code can be informal.

“If you want to be in formal wear, we’d love that, but equally if you’re in the UK and it’s 3am, perhaps you want to be in designer pajamas and record from your bed!” the producers said. “We want to work with you to style your moments, but want you to guide us on your levels of comfort — where you want to be, who you want to be with, what you want to wear etc.”
