top best of 2014 apps games movies albums
Google's "best stuff of 2014" includes what it considers the top apps, games, movies and albums of the year. Google Inc.

Google has just released its all-encompassing “best of” list for 2014, including the best Android apps and games, along with the best-selling digital albums and movies. Many of the top choices are similar to Apple’s “Best of 2014” list from earlier this month.

“Frozen” was the most popular film of the year, “The Walking Dead” was the top television show and Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy” was the biggest song, Google reports. While Apple’s list is based on editorial decisions made by the iPhone-maker, Google says it based its list off of the total number of downloads in each respective category.

“Health & Fitness” were the fastest growing app category, as developers rush to make apps compatible with Google’s Android Wear line of smartwatches. “Candy Crush” was the most downloaded game of the year, once again. Below is the full list from Google.
