Android and Apple iOS devices will be enabled with the option of editing of Google Docs over the next few days, Google announced on Wednesday.

Initially, the mobile editing feature will be available in English for devices running Android 2.2 Froyo and iOS 3.0.

Since the first launch of Android mobiles, Google Docs has been restricted to just viewing the documents.

The editing features include in-line text editing and making changes to tables. Android device users can enter text by spoken dictation.
