Google, along with its services like Gmail, YouTube and Google Drive, was down Wednesday morning in parts of the U.S., but the search engine said the issue has been resolved.

Twitter was rife with complaints that Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) was down on Wednesday morning, which CNN estimated to be around 9:30 a.m. EDT. By 10:35 a.m., service was reportedly restored for users who experienced network difficulties.

According to CNN, Google said it was sorry for the failure, which affected users in West Virginia, North Carolina, Nebraska and Georgia.

"The issue was quickly resolved and is now over. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused our users there," Google said in a statement.

Google said the search engine’s main site as well as Gmail, Google Plus, Google Drive and YouTube were affected in the outage. According to WebsiteDown.info, Google was the most searched website of the day on Wednesday. The online tool currently reports that Google.com is up and running.

While the service was down, many turned to other search engines, like Twitter user Erik Simpson, who wrote: “My only #Bing search, ever: “why is Google down”. How am I suppose to work when I can’t find other people’s solutions to my problems?”
