SAN FRANCISCO -- More than two months after Apple's exclusive launch of HBO's Internet streaming service, HBO Now will be coming to Google devices, the search giant said Thursday at Google I/O, its developer conference.

Google said the $14.99 per month service will soon be available through its Google Play store, allowing its users to access HBO content across Google devices including Android smartphones and tablets as well as Chromecast, the company's rival to the Apple TV.

HBO Now premiered with Apple in March when it was announced alongside the Apple Watch.
