New details of the specifications of the LG Nexus 5 (2015) have emerged on the Chinese micro-blogging site, Weibo. The LG variant of the upcoming smartphone is said to be smaller than the Huawei Nexus 6 (2015), but could come with more powerful specs.

Citing the Weibo source, Droid Feed stated that the LG Nexus 5 (2015) will be featuring a 5.2 inches display, and will support a Quad HD resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels along with pixel count of 565 ppi.

The Huawei Nexus 6 (2015), on the other hand, is said to be powered by Snapdragon 810 chipset along with 3 GB of RAM, Tech Gadgetz reported. However, the smaller LG Nexus 5 (2015) will be coming with Snapdragon 808 chipset. It will be the second LG smartphone after the LG G4 to feature a Snapdragon 808 SoC.

The Snapdrago 808 SoC will carry a hexa-core processor that produces a processing speed of 1.8 GHz. It also includes Adreno 418 graphics while being accompanied by 3 GB of LPDDR3 RAM. Both the Huawei and LG Nexus smartphones are expected to be shipped with Android 6.0 Marshmallow (Android M) onboard.

The leaked information of LG Nexus 5 (2015) on Weibo does not contain any information on the front-facing camera and the battery of the device. However, Phone Arena reported that the device will be featuring a selfie camera of 5-megapixel. According to ongoing speculation, the device may either feature a 2,700 mAh or 3,180 mAh battery.

According to a recent tweet from @onleaks, who is well-known for revealing information of tech products before their release, the LG Nexus 5 (2015) will be measuring 146.9 x 72.9 x 8/9.8. It will come with dual front-facing stereo speakers, a fingerprint sensor on its rear and a USB Type-C connector. Although there is no confirmation from Google or LG on aforementioned details, rumors suggest that the LG Nexus 5 (2015) release date is slated for October this year.
