The Google Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X smartphones are now available at a $50 discount on Google Store. It is a limited period offer that will end on May 6.

The new price cut has brought down the cost of Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X to $299 and $449, respectively, on Google Store. Other retailers like Best Buy and B&H Photo are also selling the two smartphones with the same price tags.

B&H is offering a gift card worth $25 for Nexus 5X buyers along with a free selfie stick. For Nexus 6P buyers, it is providing $50 gift card and a free selfie stick. Best Buy is offering a $50 gift card for Nexus 6P customers, but it is not running any deal for Nexus 5X buyers.

In March, Google started the Android Beta Program that allowed Nexus device owners to test the Android N OS before it is released to the general public. Recently, Google had released the Android N Developer Preview 2 and is expected to release three more builds in the near future before launching the final Android 7.0 version.

Currently, the Android N Developer Preview is only available for devices like Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6, Nexus 9 and Pixel C. Rumors say that the final build will be available by July.

Google is known to introduce new versions of Android through new Nexus smartphones each year. Hence, reported HTC-built Google Nexus 2016 smartphones are expected to release with Android 7.0 in July.

The Taiwanese tech giant is speculated to be working on 5-inch Nexus 5X and a 5.5-inch Nexus 6P successor models. Rumors are rife that Google has also partnered with Huawei for launching a Nexus 7P tablet later this year.
