Analysis surveyed by StatCounter.com on Wednesday said Google still dominates the search engine markets despite its slide back from April from 79.07 to 78.48 percent share last month.

In U.S, shares of Microsoft rose 8.23 percent in June from 7.21 percent in April and Yahoo jumped to 11.04 percent from 10.99 percent.

“At first sight, a 1% increase in market share does not appear to be a huge return on the investment Microsoft has made in Bing but the underlying trend appears positive,” said CEO Aodhan Cullen. “Steady if not spectacular might be the best way to describe performance to date.”

Internationally, Microsoft market shares rose 3.30 percent in June from 3.08 percent in April, while Yahoo fell to 5.48 percent to 5.15 percent respectively.

The said data are based on 4 billion page loads per month.
