Google unveils wedding planner site Google Blog

Google just doesn't seem to be satisfied with giving information to the world's people but has also released a new product, which allows couples to plan their marriage on google.com/weddings,

To help you plan this important day we've created wedding-specific templates in Google Sites, Google Docs and Picnik, and gathered tips and tricks for using these and other Google products at google.com/weddings. From wedding websites to save-the-date cards, these tools simplify wedding planning, letting you focus your time on the fun things-like tasting cakes, senior product marketing manager Lisa Conquergood, said on the Google Blog.

The technology giant has also teamed up with renowned wedding planner Michelle Ragoand and is offering a $25,000 competition towards a wedding.

Chris Kelly, founder of rival UK wedding site gettingmarried.co.uk said that Google was entering a growing business. In just over a year, we've grown to over 40,000 soon-to-be-married members, all of whom are already happily creating their free wedding websites, he said, the Telegraph reported.

Earlier last year in November, the tech giant launched Boutiques.com: a personalized shopping experience that lets you find and discover fashion goods, by creating your own curated boutique or through a collection of boutiques curated by taste-makers, celebrities, stylists, designers and fashion bloggers.
