A day after Google confirmed its Android media event on January 5, more details of the Google smartphone, Nexus One, have been leaked online, including its price details and its network provider.

According to Gizmodo, the site released Nexus One site screenshots that show the smartphone's price details. If these leaked pictures are correct, then the Nexus One will retail for two prices: a subsidized T-Mobile edition for $180 with a 2-year contract, or an unsubsidized version for $530.

The T-Mobile option only comes with one phone plan which amounts to $79.99 a month for phone, text and Web service.

The report says that the phone will launch on January 5 at 9 a.m. via online orders only.

Customer will be able to buy up to five handsets per Google account and the company will also ship the handset to countries outside the US.

TechCrunch further speculates that the leaked screenshots provide clues to the existence of a previously unannounced feature of Android: automatic back-up of data.

The description of the docking station accessory includes the line Charge your phone while streaming music and backing up your data. Which TC concedes could mean, well, just about anything, writing, Google could be referring to using one of the third party backup solutions available on Android Market, like the top rated MyBackup Pro. Or it might just be saying that you can manually back up your phone to your computer while it's charging. Or, it could be referring to a natively supported backup option. I'm guessing it's the latter.
