The Gossip Girl season 5 finale left fans at the edge of their seat and beloved party boy Chuck Bass clinging to life.

After a several-week hiatus, the much-anticipated CW show returns Monday at 8 p.m. ET -- kicking off the winter television season with brand new shows.

Vera Wang makes a cameo in The End of the Affair, which CW's website teases is a series of emotion flashbacks where Blair reveals to Serena what really happened in the aftermath of her tragic car accident with Chuck.

The Upper East Side drama concluded in December with Ivy's (Kaylee Defer) fake identity exposed, Nate (Chace Crawford) as editor-in-chief of Gossip Girl's latest competition and Blair (Leighton Meester) ditching her fairy-tale royal wedding to live happily ever the Chuck (Ed Westwick) - only to end up in the hospital after a paparazzi-caused car wreck reminiscent of Princess Diana.

Gossip Girl without Chuck would be too impossible to bear, and Weswick is refusing to give away any spoilers. In an interview with E!, the actor said Blair and Louis head down the aisle for the season's 100th episode. You will cry. There will be tears, he said.

Looking at the trailer, the first episode of the season already looks rather intense. Serena sits by Blair on her hospital bed, saying, he lost a lot of blood, and Blair is seen on her knees praying, please let him live.
