Gordon and Theo
Detective Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie, left) will come face-to-face with Theo Galavan (James Frain, right) again on "Gotham" episode 10. FOX/Jeff Neumann

Detective Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) has learned there is no line, but only the law, that separates men from animals on Fox's "Gotham" Season 2. However, what can Gordon do when the law lets him down and Theo Galavan (James Frain) gets out of jail in episode 10, titled "The Son of Gotham"?

The synopsis reveals Gordon will be dealing with a suspect that has connections to Theo. In the promo video, a judge is shown ordering Theo to be released, which strikes a nerve with Gordon as he runs up to Theo and punches him the face. Gordon swears he won't let Theo get away with all that he has done.

Theo's brotherhood finally arrived at the end of episode 9 and they'll be ready to carry out the plan of taking over Gotham City and to kill Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz). It will be up to Gordon and Capt. Nathaniel Barnes (Michael Chiklis) to stop Theo once and for all, but in the final moments of the promo video it looks like Theo captures Gordon.

Selina (Camren Bicondova) returned to see Bruce in episode 9 to warn him that Silver St. Cloud (Natalie Alyn Lind) is bad news and this time, she has proof. Bruce is expected to get closer to the answers he's been searching for in terms of who killed his parents. Will Selina be able to provide the hint when she reveals what she found out about Silver?

The episode may also have a new must-see duo after villains Edward Nygma (Cory Michael Smith) and Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) came together. Nygma taught Penguin that he is now a man without weakness because the only person he loved is now gone and in return it appeared as though Penguin would teach Nygma more about how to kill. It will be interesting to see what's in store next for these two.

Another storyline to keep an eye on is the unique relationship between Theo and his sister Tabitha Galavan (Jessica Lucas). Tabitha sent a storm of hit men after Gordon in episode 9 just because she blames him for how Barbara (Erin Richards) was injured. Theo had told her not to do anything until he was out of jail and clearly there is rift growing between the two.

Gotham” Season 2, episode 10, "The Son of Gotham," will air on Fox Monday, Nov. 23, at 8 p.m. EST.
