Rumor has it that Barbara Kean (Erin Richards) will turn into Harley Quinn in “Gotham” Season 3. Fox

“Gotham” executive producer John Stephens earlier said that Harley Quinn will make her appearance during the Season 3 finale, but they are choosing to remain mum for now how she will be introduced.

Many suspect that the show will transform Erin Richards’ Barbara Kean into the villain, but nothing’s certain at this point. Co-executive producer Danny Cannon told Screener that age was a major issue they had concerning Harley during character development. “That’s a character we’ve always wanted to have,” he said. “It’s a lot of people’s favorite character — but the age problem was always going to be there.”

One character they played with in terms of age is Poison Ivy. She used to be the same age as Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) and Selina Kyle (Carmen Bicondova) during the start of Season 3, but they aged her and cast Maggie Geha to portray her.

Should Harley find her way to the show, “Gotham” can now form the Gotham City Sirens, which consists of Harley, Selina Kyle and Poison Ivy.

When Heroic Hollywood asked Bicondova about the trio’s possible formation, she answered that she’s not so sure. However, the actress said the show will probably delve into it in the future.

“We haven’t really dived into that yet as of right now. I think that eventually it will happen,” she said. The actress added that joining the Sirens would be “cool,” although she has no clue how that will go. “I have no idea because some things are shaking up this season, so we never know!” she said.

It’s also possible that Jessica Lucas’ Tabitha Galavan will be a part of the Sirens, even though her character is not really part of the original Sirens.

“I love that they started it out in an unexpected way with Barbara and Tabitha because neither one of those characters are part of the [Gotham City]Sirens in the comic books,” she said. “But I think there is room for growth, there is room for new members and I think it would be great to have some sort of girl gang going on next season. So I hope so, but I’m not sure yet!”

“Gotham” Season 3, episode 15, titled “How the Riddler Got His Name,” will air on April 24.
