Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) treated his butler and guardian, Alfred Pennyworth (Sean Pertwee) badly this Season 4 of “Gotham,” and the billionaire boy even sent him away.

When the show returns from its winter break, it looks like Bruce will realize the error of his ways and come looking for his long-time friend. The synopsis for the March 15 episode called, “A Dark Knight: Reunion,” which was shared by Comic Book, reveal that a couple of characters will cross paths with someone from their past.

“Ivy (guest star Peyton List) picks her next target, leading Gordon and Lucius back to an old friend, as Selina tries to take matters into her own hands. Sofia wants full control of Gotham and turns to Lee about the state of the Narrows. Meanwhile, Bruce tries to make amends with Alfred, and Nygma visits Arkham in the all-new ‘A Dark Knight: Reunion’ episode of ‘Gotham.’”

Bruce’s dark turn was a result of his encounter with Ra’s al Ghul (Alexander Siddig). Bruce might have successfully killed Ra’s, but that meant the loss of his innocence. As a result, he went on a downward spiral.

“He’s going to transform as a human and he’s never going to be the same ever again. He’s really going to lose all of his naivety, all of his innocence, and he’s going to see the world for what it is, this unforgiving, disgusting place and especially Gotham — it’s 10 times that,” Mazouz earlier told Screen Rant.

When Alfred saw this change, he tried to talk some sense into Bruce. But he failed. Bruce went into a “really dark” place, but Mazouz admitted it was so much fun to play.

Bruce’s change will also affect his relationship with Selina Kyle (Carmen Bicondova). Selina is currently figuring out her place in society while teaming up with Tabitha Galavan (Jessica Lucas) and Barbara Kean (Erin Richards). Amidst all these things, she will have to deal with her feelings for Bruce.

“[Their relationship] gets mended and then it falls apart again,” Bicandova told Digital Spy. “So it’s just that rollercoaster that they're always on. I feel like Bruce decides to just buckle up on the rollercoaster – he likes to go on it – and Selina likes to jump off and do her own thing... she doesn't like being on the rollercoaster, but she can't help getting back on!”

“Gotham” Season 4 airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. EST on Fox.
