Selina Kyle is getting ready to become the Catwoman. Fox

People have been clamoring for the Gotham City Sirens to make their way to the Fox show, and this Season 4, “Gotham” is slowly building up their storyline.

Executive producer Danny Cannon told TV Line that the newfound friendship of Selina Kyle (Carmen Bicondova) and Tabitha Galavan (Jessica Lucas) will be essential in “building up the Sirens’ origin story,” which will also include Barbara Kean (Erin Richards) and Poison Ivy (Maggie Geha). “We’ll be watching Selina turn into a woman, but what kind of woman will she be? Vengeful and resentful, or somebody of amazing potential?” he said.

Meanwhile, the show will also focus on Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) and his transition into the Batman. “Somebody who until now has been seen as a wealthy child is now seen as the emerging threat he is,” said Cannon.

As Bruce’s guardian, Alfred Pennyworth (Sean Pertwee) will be competing with Ra’s al Ghul (Alexander Siddig) in mentoring the young millionaire. “An almost amoral figure from such a dark and ancient past coming into Bruce’s life when he is so susceptible to influence gives us lots of drama,” Cannon teased.

On the other hand, Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) will be busy once again hunting down the city’s criminals. This time around, he will get help from an unlikely source -- Sofia Falcone (Crystal Reed), sister of the late Mario Falcone (James Carpinello). According to Comic Book, Sofia is “strong, intelligent and calculating, [and] she has run the Falcone operation in the south for the past 10 years and is returning to Gotham to help Gordon take down Penguin.”

It is even hinted that she will become Jim’s latest love interest. Executive producer John Stephens told Entertainment Weekly that Sofia’s relationship with Jim is going to be pretty pivotal in Season 4.

“We’re going to see Jim make, in some ways, big steps toward I guess what you would call the commissionership,” Stephens said. “But also we’re going to see Jim, in his quest to save the city, cross different ethical lines than he ever did before. It’s going to bring him to an ethical nadir that we haven’t seen him at, and it’s going to be told through the context of a relationship that he has with Sofia Falcone, the daughter of Don Falcone, who’s played by Crystal Reed this year. And that’s going to be a really compelling and interesting relationship.”

“Gotham” Season 4 will premiere on Fox on Sept. 21.
