Grammy Awards 2013: Adele Tells Chris Brown Off For Not Giving Frank Ocean A Standing Ovation After Winning Award [PHOTO]

Brown, who was nominated in the same category, merely sat and clapped for Ocean, with whom he has had a rivalry  for the past couple of years. Their mutual dislike took a turn for the worse last month when they got into a physical altercation. 

Initially, Ocean said he was “desirous of prosecution” after Brown allegedly threw the first punch in their fight, but later he declined to press charges. 

“I’m an artist and a modern person. I’ll choose sanity. No criminal charges. No civil lawsuit. Forgiveness, albeit difficult, is wisdom. Peace, albeit trite, is what I want in my short life. Peace,” he said in a statement.

While Brown and Ocean were at Westlake Studio in Los Angeles, TMZ reported they got into a dispute over a parking space. As Brown and his entourage were trying to leave Westlake, they were “blocked” by Ocean and his group.

“This is my studio, this is my parking spot,” the “Novacane” the singer allegedly said, before Brown tried to shake Ocean’s hand. After that, there are clashing reports as to whether friends of Brown or Ocean hit each other and started fighting.

After the incident, Ocean tweeted, “got jumped by chris and a couple guys. Lol…cut my finger now I can’t play w two hands at the grammy."

When Ocean's Grammy was announced, and Brown stayed seated while everyone else stood and clapped, singer Adele looked over at him, and, according to British tabloid the Metro, later approached him. 

While cameras failed to pick up what Adele said to Brown, they did capture Adele reprimanding the singer.
