Music’s biggest night is just around the corner and now we know which artists are fighting for the top honors.

The nominees for the 2018 Grammys were announced by singer Andra Day on CBS This Morning on Tuesday, and there were some obvious choices, as well as some shockers.

One of the biggest awards of the night, which will air live on CBS on Jan. 28, 2018, is that of Album of the Year and there are some heavy-hitters competing for it. Jay-Z is nominated for “4:44,” while Bruno Mars’ “24K Magic” is also in the ring. Rounding out the nominees in this category are Kendrick Lamar with “DAMN,” Lorde with “Melodrama” and Childish Gambino with “Awaken, My Love!”

But only one can take home the award from the James Corden-hosted show. Who will it be?

All of the albums nominated received love and praise, but the one that had the most style, the most funk, the most all-genre appeal was Bruno Mars’ “24K Magic,” which is why it is likely that he will come out on top. That said, Childish Gambino is the only artist nominated in that category who hasn’t won a Grammy before, so he could be the underdog win.
