Princess Charlotte’s grandmother Carole Middleton was spotted shopping for the little princess on King’s Road in Chelsea over the weekend. The 60-year-old doting grandmother appeared to pick up clothes for her granddaughter.

Kate Middleton’s mother stopped by several childrenswear stores including Trotters Childrenswear, according to E! News. She was pictured looking at jumpers and dresses on display at the front of the store before leaving with bags. One of them included a large shopping bag from the family-owned business. Carole was spotted carrying a Russell & Bromley bag too, which meant she also indulged in some shopping for herself.

Kate’s mother was dressed casually for her day outing. She wore a white top, black and white patterned crop trouser, which she paired with a black blazer. The mother of three carried a big black leather bag and wore a pair of matching pumps. She accessorized with small drop earrings, a chain with pendant and glasses.

Although it is not yet known what nan had purchased for the tot, the five-month-old Charlotte isn’t expected to wear a dress anytime soon. Kate’s go-to childrenswear designer Rachel Riley revealed in September that the Duchess of Cambridge will not dress the little royal in a dress until she is one-year-old. The 33-year-old mother is likely to stock up on onesies, in keeping with her daughter’s classic style, People reported.

“Because they’re a traditional family, I’m sure that she’ll wear baby suits for the first year. And then only when she’s walking will she then move into dresses,” said the designer. She added that the toddler will also be unlikely to wear separates until much later.

Charlotte was dressed in an all-white outfit for the first official photoshoot with her older brother Prince George in June. The royal baby was dressed in a handmade white knitted jumper, a chemise with ruffled collar and a pair of matching tights.

Charlotte’s entire outfit was by Spanish designer Irulea, the same brand that the princess sported in her first public appearance after her birth on May 2. The pieces were from the same set that Charlotte wore home from the hospital on the day she was born, which was gifted to her by George’s Spanish nanny, Maria Borrallo.
