Online computer hardware retailer Newegg has come up with a rather lucrative deal for video game enthusiasts, just as the last few hours of 2011 tick away. The Internet store has cut as much as $100 off the cost of an Xbox 360 320GB Gears of War 3 Limited Edition bundle.

The package was developed to take advantage of one of 2011's biggest games and the console's artwork has been inspired by the game. The features include a 320GB hard drive, built-in Wi-Fi and access to a host of games and entertainment options via Xbox LIVE. The price tag for the package is $299.999; this includes free shipping. However, it is still uncertain how long the offer will last, according to an Electronic House Report.

Meanwhile, Amazon.com has a similar package up for sale but at much dearer figures. The Seattle-based company has priced their package at $369.99, which is only an 8 percent cut on the former price. Other goodies provided by Amazon include a free-of-charge one month subscription to Xbox LIVE Gold, a headset and composite cable.
