RTTNews - Greece's current account deficit narrowed to EUR2.7 billion in March from EUR3.56 billion in the previous year, the Bank of Greece said Friday.

The goods account deficit dropped to EUR2.3 billion in March from EUR3.4 billion last year. Moreover, the surplus in the capital transfers account increased to EUR248.8 million from EUR220.4 million in the previous year.

On the other hand, the surplus in the services account decreased to EUR439 million in March from EUR646.5 million last year. At the same time, the income account deficit widened to EUR722.7 million from EUR719.2 million last year, and the current transfers account deficit increased to EUR88.1 million from EUR60.8 million.

Meanwhile, the financial account recorded a surplus of EUR2.9 billion in March, lower than the EUR3.4 billion surplus recorded in the previous year.
