RTTNews - Friday, a report by the General Secretariat of the National Statistical Service of Greece said the industrial turnover dropped 23% year-on-year in April, after a 21.6% fall in the preceding month. A year earlier, the turnover grew 18.5% annually.

During the month, manufacturing turnover declined 22.9%, while mining and quarrying turnover fell 32.6%. Among the main industrial groups, energy showed the steepest fall in turnover, by 32.4%. This was followed by a 28.2% drop in intermediate goods.

Meanwhile, industrial new orders plunged 33.7% annually in April compared to a 31.3% fall in the preceding month. Among the main industrial groups, intermediate goods showed the steepest drop in new orders, by 40.2%.
