The debt-laden economy in the euro zone, Greece, after receiving 5.5 billion euros from the IMF last week, it will get receive today 14.5 billion euros as a first installment of the EU bailout package for Greece. This installment would allow Greece to repay 8.5 billion euros due in May as well as other financing needed in June.

Earlier this month, finance ministers combined with the IMF agreed to provide Greece a 110 billion euros rescue aid to halt the euro's depreciation. In return, the Greek government pledged to cut spending by adopting austerity measures of nearly 14% of GDP to lower the highest sovereign debt in the euro area that reached 13.6% last year.
