George Papaconstantinou said Greece's budget deficit for 2009 is gong to be revised up to at least to 12.9% from 12.7% after the economy contracted 2% last year. The announcement is expected to raise concerns especially as Greece should sell more than 30 billion euros by the end of 2010 to cut the largest deficit in the EU. However, Papaconstantinou said a slight upward revision is not concerning and will not affect his country's plan to reduce debt to 8.7% by the end of the current year.
