Sources in Germany's Finance Ministry said that officials in the ministry are working on contingency plan to restructure Greece's debt where the study aims to evaluate the cost that German banks will suffer from if the debt is restricted along with the impact it will pose on the European shared currency.

The source, who refused to be identified, said that They have started to consider the unthinkable, while looking at a contingency plan preparing for Greek restructuring. It is not something they want but something they recognize, adding that They would be unprepared for the impact on their own bank balance sheets.
