RTTNews - Wednesday, the Bank of Greece said in a report that the current account deficit decreased by EUR 469 million to EUR 2.99 billion in April. The current account deficit in March was EUR 2.71 billion.

For the January to April period, the current account deficit declined 19.9% annually to EUR 10.33 billion.

In April, the capital account surplus amounted to EUR 335 million versus EUR 378 million in a year ago. For the first four months of the year, the capital account surplus stood at EUR 814 million.

Meanwhile, the current and capital account deficit totaled EUR 2.66 billion in April, narrowing from EUR 3.09 billion in a year earlier.
