As voting finishes in Greek’s crucial national election, exit polls suggest that the pro-bailout conservative New Democracy party and the anti-bailout leftist Syriza party are running neck and neck in a contest still too close to call.

Polls indicate ND has taken between 27.5 percent and 30.5 percent of the vote; while Syriza getting between 27-30 percent. The Socialist PASOK party is in a distant third with between 10 and12 percent of the vote.

If these numbers prove accurate, ND and Pasok (the only two parties which support terms of the EU/IMF bailouts that Greece has received) wouldn’t have a majority to run the next government.
