Today, the Greek Finance Ministry cleared the rumors that they might seek financial assistance from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) next month while in other news, the Prime Minister, George Papandreou is giving the EU a week deadline for them to come up with a measure for their nation.

The Prime Minister says he might go to IMF as a way to narrow their budget deficit, if the EU finance officials at the summit in March 25 and 26, do not provide a lending facility, while ECB President Jean-Claude Trichet and French President Nicolas Sarkozy are against the idea of aid provided from the IMF.
