The US currency showed strength against its Brazilian counterpart during New York trading on Tuesday. At 9:30 am ET, the greenback climbed to 2.2660 versus the real from earlier low of 2.2390. The dollar-real pair that closed yesterday's deals at 2.2465 is now trading near 2.2500. The dollar touched a 4-day low of 2.2385 against the Brazilian currency yesterday.
