Golfing legend Greg Norman is recovering in hospital after being injured in a chainsaw accident.

On his Instagram page, he implied that he could have lost his left hand in the incident if he had been slightly less fortunate.

"Working with a chainsaw ALWAYS be respectful of the unexpected. I was one lucky man today. Damaged, but not down & out. Still have left hand"

Norman lead the world golf rankings for 331 weeks in the 1980s and 1990s, according to BBC News.
