If you’re still teary-eyed from last week’s emotional installment of “Grey’s Anatomy” – we don’t blame you! We know we’re definitely still feeling the effects of April (Sarah Drew) and Jackson’s (Jesse Williams) heart-breaking story line. In episode 11, the couple was forced to say goodbye to their newborn son, Samuel, due to his life-threatening condition.

“It was really intense, but also beautiful," Drew said of the moving plot during an interview with E! Online. “I just met someone who had been in the room with a mother who had just done the exact same thing and something about walking into the scene to shoot that knowing it had just happened to someone for real and that I could in some way honor their story was incredibly inspiring. It was heartbreaking and really emotional. When we finished our last shot, I just leaned into Jesse Williams and just wept in his arms." Same – except we didn’t have a seriously handsome man like Williams to console us.

But despite the current grim mood of “Grey’s,” we have some news that may help lift your spirits. According to TVLine, a new character will be introduced prior to Season 11’s final episode – and rumor has it he’ll be easy on the eyes!

Curious who this new hunk it? Well, this possibly recurring character’s name is Jack Pruitt and he’s described as “strong, rugged and handsome.” It was also reported that Jack, who is in his late 30s, is a “tall” police captain that will be paying Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital a visit before Season 11 comes to an end.

So, which scrub-donning damsel will become smitten with the officer? Well, we have a theory that Callie (Sara Ramirez) will fall victim to Jack’s charming ways. After Callie and Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) split, TVLine teased that in time, a new romantic interest would appear for one of the two ladies.

“You have to remember that Callie likes men as well,” Ramirez said, addressing the rumors of a possible new hook up. “So… who knows?”

Do you think Callie will be locking lips with a new lover before Season 11 comes to a conclusion? Sound off in the comments section with you theories. "Grey's Anatomy" airs Thursdays on ABC at 8 p.m. EST.
