“Grey’s Anatomy” is going through quite a few casting changes this season. After losing Jerrika Hinton and Marika Dominczyk, it seems Tessa Ferrer is also saying goodbye to the ABC drama.

TVLine reports that Ferrer, who plays Leah Murphy, will not appear in Season 14. ABC has yet to officially confirm the news.

Leah was brought back last season after getting fired from the hospital in Season 10. It seems she earned her stripes while working in another facility and her work was so impressive that Bailey (Chandra Wilson) thought it was time to bring her back.

After getting past the drama of rehiring a fired intern, Leah didn’t have all that much to do last year. She was, however, another shoulder for Jo (Camilla Luddington) to lean on. With Stephanie (Jerrika Hinton) leaving, it seemed like maybe Leah would take her place as Jo’s best gal pal. That’s clearly not the case.

It isn’t clear if Leah’s exit will get as much explanation as Stephanie’s departure. The resident decided she wanted to leave Grey Sloan after a vicious patient took her and a little girl hostage. After suffering severe burns, Stephanie decided that she’d spent enough of her life in hospitals. She had to see the world outside.

Leah joins another one of Arizona’s (Jessica Capshaw) exes abruptly leaving “Grey’s Anatomy” ahead of Season 14. In the finale, Eliza Minnick (Marika Dominczyk) was fired, but she was still in the midst of a relationship with Arizona. It seems the romance will end with the job.

Jessica Capshaw previously teased that Arizona would be pretty hurt after the relationship suddenly ends with no warning. “Well, I mean, I think she was on the way to being a little bit — I mean, she was super crushed out, but I think she was on the way to being a little in love, right,” the actress told E! Online. “And now her girlfriend gets fired. So what happens now? I think it’s a little bit of being in a wash cycle and sort of going ‘What happened and why and now what do I do?’”

Don’t expect Arizona’s other great love to come back either. As previously reported, Callie (Sara Ramirez) is not scheduled to return.

Luckily, some more cast members are joining, so there won’t be too many holes in the cast. Kim Raver will reprise her role as Teddy Altman, who was last seen in “Grey’s Anatomy” Season 8. She had left to pursue a new job as chief of staff with the U.S. Army Medical Command.

The heart surgeon returned to the states with Megan Hunt, Owen’s (Kevin McKidd) sister and Rigg’s (Martin Henderson) wife. She went missing during a mission several years ago, and her family assumed she died. Her sudden return will shake things up for the Seattle doctors.

Though Bridget Reagan played Megan in flashbacks, her commitment to “The Last Ship” prevented her return. Abigail Spencer will take over the role.

“Grey’s Anatomy” Season 14 premieres Thursday, Sept. 28 at 8 p.m. EDT with a two-hour episode.
