Rockstar revealed the official “Grand Theft Auto 5” launch trailer for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of the open-world, action adventure title, which launch next week on Nov. 18. The New York City-based developer also told players that if they preorder the eighth-generation version of the game now, they’ll receive a bonus of $1 million of in-game cash.

Rockstar Games also plans to reward returning “GTA 5” players who already own the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 versions but are planning to pick up latest-gen copies. They're also applying this deal to those who purchase the PC version in January.

“To reward loyal fans for coming back to the newer, more-detailed version of Los Santos and Blaine County, we’ve created an array of exclusive items specifically for these players, with each of them connected to activities designed for you to experience the game's massive world in new and exciting ways,” the developer said on its newswire in late October.

“GTA 5" launched last October for the Xbox 360 and PS3. The title was developed by Rockstar North of Scotland and published by Rockstar Games. “GTA 5” received highly favorable reviews and was the 15th installment in the “GTA” series and the first game since 2008’s “GTA IV.” Within 24 hours, the game brought in more than $800 million in revenue. The game has sold around 34 million copies.

The Spike Video Game Awards gave the title the Most Anticipated Game award in 2012. Following its release, the game received the Game of the Year award at the 2013 Golden Joystick Awards. Only three days following its release, IGN listed “GTA 5” as second on its list of “Top 25 Xbox 360 Games.”
