'GTA 5 Online' Problems: Patch 1.10 Resets Players' Rank

Some “GTA 5 Online” players have come across an issue with Rockstar’s Title Update 1.10. An error in the patch, which launched on Feb. 13, reset users’ progress in the game.

"After the update, and the problems known to your cloud server, my rank has been reset to level 1. GTA Online has loaded the initial tutorial and saved my profile. I opened a support ticket a week ago but I have not had an answer nor a solution," one player frustratingly stated on the Rockstar support site. Various other gamers have conveyed their issues on the same thread. The conflict seems to hinder players on both platforms.

A Rockstar representative responded to user issues by doling out rep point boosts. To gain access to them, users were asked to restart their consoles and log in with the character they wanted to receive the increase.

"Once you gain the RP boost and play in free roam for some time (usually 15-30 minutes) you will get back your unlocks and be able to access your previous assets, such as houses and cars,” the support page posted.

Rockstar urged gamers to submit a request if they experienced errors with the online mode. You’ll be asked to give your PSN ID or Gamertag.

Rockstar’s patch fixed a number of changes, but the most important ones are listed below via Rockstar’s support page.

A player who kills a passive player must now pay their hospital bills

The Mechanic has now been removed when delivering a Personal Vehicle. The vehicle is now created nearby instead.
