Hardcore “Grand Theft Auto” fans recently created a trailer for a fictional “GTA” movie called “Grand Theft Auto: Madrid.” The video clip, which is just over a minute and a half, is a replica of the first "GTA 5" trailer that appeared in late 2012.

As we’ve seen countless times with movies like 1994’s “Street Fighter” or “Double Dragon,” video games don’t always translate very well into full-length feature films. While New York City-based developer Rockstar isn’t planning on creating a “GTA” movie anytime soon, it gave the video a shout-out via Twitter, calling it “awesome.”

The video was created by a group of filmmakers from Madrid called Zapruder Pictures. The group has also created film trailer parodies of “Max Payne” and “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.” The “GTA” clip has received nearly 400,000 views in just two days.
