Some people were shocked to find out “Used to Love You Singer” Gwen Stefani and country star Blake Shelton were dating. But Shelton's ex-wife, “Little Red Wagon” singer Miranda Lambert, suspected there was something between them, an insider told Hollywood Life in an exclusive report Thursday. To make things worse, "Sangria" singer Shelton reportedly lied to Lambert when she confronted him about the dating rumors.
He told Lambert that he and Stefani had a platonic relationship and he wasn’t into her type of body. “There were so many moments between Gwen and Blake on ‘The Voice’ and he always told [Lambert] there was nothing between them, he even told Miranda that Gwen isn’t his type, that she’s too skinny,” the source told Hollywood Life.
But Lambert, 31, doesn’t have any hard feelings. "She has nothing against Gwen and thinks she is a very talented artist,” an insider told E! Online Wednesday. “Whomever Blake is with she wishes them the best.”
Stefani, 46, and Shelton, 39, finally confirmed their relationship before the 2015 CMA Awards in Nashville, Tennessee, Wednesday. “Gwen and Blake are longtime friends who have very recently started dating,” a rep told Perez Hilton. The “Voice” stars didn’t attend the ceremony together, but Stefani reportedly flew to Nashville to be with Shelton.
While Lambert might be OK with her ex moving on, Bush singer Gavin Rossdale, who filed for divorce from Stefani in August, is reportedly repulsed by the new relationship. However, his disdain could be out of envy. "There is a lot of jealousy that Gwen has moved on so quickly, and Gavin is very insecure about his career as a musician too," an insider told Radar Online Wednesday. "Having his wife get involved with a huge star like Blake is certainly a blow to Gavin's ego."
Neither Shelton nor Stefani have publicly commented about their relationship since it was confirmed.
