Jodie Sweetin stars in her first-ever Hallmark Channel film, “Finding Santa,” tonight as part of Countdown to Christmas.

As she makes her debut on the Hallmark Channel, she joins her “Full House” and “Fuller House” co-stars Candace Cameron Bure and Lori Loughlin as part of the network’s family.

Bure and Loughlin have a long list of Hallmark movies, with Bure’s new film “Switched for Christmas” premiering just a couple days after Sweetin’s.

This is quite the occasion, which is why it makes sense that Hallmark chose Eric Winter to star opposite Sweetin in “Finding Santa,” as this is a sort of re-entrance for him since the last Hallmark film he was in was the 2005 Hallmark Hall of Fame flick “The Magic of Ordinary.” He’s just now come off of a nine-episode stint on the recently-canceled “Rosewood” and he’s ready to make some Christmas magic on Hallmark with Sweetin.

The two seem like a perfect movie pairing, but let’s see if the relationship between their characters are just as perfect during the whole film.

Sweetin stars as Grace Long, a resident of Green River, Connecticut, whose grandparents helped put together the first Christmas Eve parade 50 years ago.

“The holiday season became Green River’s economic engine, as the Long family led the efforts to make every Noel bigger and better,” the synopsis shares. “After her parents died when she 18, Grace abandoned her plans for art school to stay in Green River and tend to the family legacy, which includes a year-round holiday store as well as the signature parade. With Grace in charge, the parade and other Christmas festivities blend old-fashioned pleasures with clever modern touches; there’s the town’s famed Santa, aka Tom White (Jay Brazeau), and his sleigh.”

This year, though, the parade is set to bigger and better than ever as a national morning show has chosen Green River for its Christmas Eve day program, which will be great for the parade’s 50th anniversary.

“A week before the parade, Santa/Tom slips on a patch of ice and ends up with one arm in a full cast, unable to fulfill his Santa duties,” the summary reveals. “Grace has precious little time to find a substitute who can be the camera-ready Santa the television producer needs. Not surprisingly, every professional Santa in the area is already booked. And the locals who audition for the role are at best underwhelming and at worst indescribably bad.”

With few options left, Grace turns to the one person who can do it well, but who has always said he didn’t want to do it. That would be Tom’s son, Ben (Winter), a writer from Boston.

“With her hometown’s reputation and economic future on the line, it’s up to Grace to get the reluctant Ben back to Green River and into that Santa suit She heads for Boston to make her case, but Ben is no pushover, having long resisted pressure from his father to take on the family profession,” the synopsis teases. “Having taken opposite paths when faced with a choice between family legacy and personal dreams, Grace and Ben each have arguments to make. As the December 24th parade draws near, Grace and Ben discover a truly unexpected and wonderful Christmas gift: love.”

“Finding Santa” airs on Hallmark Channel on Nov. 24 at 8 p.m. EST.
