It used to just be the Christmas movies that really had viewers flocking to Hallmark Channel for original, family-friendly films, but no more.

The Christmas-themed TV movies are still where Hallmark puts most of its efforts, but in recent years it has really ramped up its slate of year-round original movies. With programming events like Countdown to Valentine’s Day, Spring Fling and Summer Nights, fans are able to get their Hallmark fix more often.

Currently, viewers are enjoying the Fall Harvest event, otherwise known as the Countdown to Countdown to Christmas event, which features six new movies, all themed around the fall season, of course.

The first of the six, “Falling for Vermont,” premiered on the network on Sept. 23, with the second one, “Harvest Love,” set to debut on Saturday night.

Jen Lilley and Ryan Paevey star in Hallmark’s “Harvest Love.” Hallmark Channel

The TV romance will feature Hallmark’s major 2017 star Jen Lilley, who starred in this year’s Countdown to Valentine’s Day film “A Dash of Love” with Brendna Penny and Summer Nights movie “Eat, Play, Love” with Jason Cermak. Her co-lead in Saturday’s premiere is “General Hospital” star Ryan Paevey, who everyone’s been begging to have in another Hallmark original since he stunned in his lead role in 2016’s “Unleashing Mr. Darcy.”

Lilley’s character, Luna Gilson, doesn’t get off to the best start with Paevey’s Will Nash when she returns to her family’s pear orchard with her son and inadvertently contributes to his Nash’s car getting a flat tire along the way. But, it’s Hallmark, and things have a beautiful way of working themselves out as love always win on this joyous network.

Here’s the full synopsis for this new, well-cast Hallmark romance:

Recently widowed from the love of her life, Seattle surgeon Luna Gilson threw herself into her work to help her get through her loss, and remains busier than ever. She seems to always be on call and, after realizing that she needs to devote more of herself to her 9-year-old son Andy (Brenden Sunderland), Luna decides to take him to her family’s pear farm for a week of relaxation and reconnection. Andy’s not thrilled about the idea, but he’s happy just to get his mom alone for a whole week. Though she hasn’t been there for years, Luna’s fond childhood memories of the farm quickly remind her of all the things she loves about it there. She meets Will Nash the rugged and handsome guy her parents appointed farm manager when they went abroad. While he and Luna don’t exactly hit it off from the get-go, it’s hard to ignore the immediate spark of attraction between them, although ignore it is exactly what Luna and Will do.

Although they ignore their attraction at first, the two start to become great friends with the possibility of more, causing Luna to reconsider leaving the farm to return home and starting to think that this might just be a great, new home for her and her son.

“Harvest Love” premieres on the Hallmark Channel on Saturday at 9 p.m. EDT.
