After weeks -- or in some cases hours -- working diligently to craft the perfect Halloween costume, your day to show off your efforts has finally arrived.

But there's more than just a bag of sweet treats to be earned this Oct. 31. From Olive Garden to Krispy Kreme, several restaurants and fast food establishments are offering free or discounted edibles this Halloween. And some of the deals don’t even require that you wear a costume -- a welcome option for those who can’t bear to be a sheet ghost again this year.

Many of the freebies are for children. But kids at heart can benefit from a few as well. So fill up on some tasty food before heading out to battle ghouls, goblins and possibly a pirate or two with one of the Halloween 2013 deals below!

Chipotle is offering you a burrito, bowl, salad or order of tacos for $3 if you visit participating restaurants in your Halloween costume. The deal runs from 4 p.m. to close.

IHOP is allowing kids 12 and under a free “Scary Face” pancake. Children will be able to decorate their pancake with any face they’d like using strawberry glaze, whipped topping, oreo cookies and candy corn.

At Krispy Kreme, you will get a free Halloween-themed, Pumpkin Spice or Pumpkin Cheesecake doughnut if you wear a costume. The offer is only valid on Oct. 31 at participating locations.

Olive Garden is offering a free kids meal with the purchase of an adult entrée on Oct 31. But you must use this coupon to receive the deal.

You can reserve one Halloween movie on Redbox through Oct. 31 and get 50 cents off a second movie rental.

Pizzas at Carrabba’s restaurants are $5 on Halloween. For an additional five dollars, you get an Italian salad for two.

Sonic Drive-In corn dogs are 50 cents all day long on Oct. 31.
