Halo 5 Master Chief
Players of "Halo 5: Guardians" finally know whether they will get to see Master Chief's face. The plot for "Halo 5: Guardians" is going to be hinted at in season two of the podcast "Hunt the Truth." Microsoft Studios

“Hunt the Truth,” the podcast based on the Halo franchise, is back. Season two follows shortly after the end of the first season, and is set to premiere at 11 a.m. PDT on Tuesday. If you’re eager to find out more about the “Halo 5: Guardians” plot, you should definitely listen in.

The podcast is available via the website, on iTunes Podcasts and Soundcloud. It focuses on FERO, the rebel leader who helped season one’s journalist Benjamin Giraud in an expose of a huge military cover up, who “seemingly came to an inauspicious end.”

Season one of “Hunt the Truth” was almost like a fictional version of the popular podcast series “Serial,” with Giraud piecing together bits of information gathered from various sources every week.

This season builds towards the story that will unfold in “Halo 5: Guardians,” which is set for release on Xbox One on October 27 and is currently available for preorder.

“While the first season dealt with subterfuge and espionage at the fringes of the game events, season two will lead directly into the galaxy-shaking mysteries of ‘Halo 5: Guardians,’” said 343 Industries’ Frank O’Connor.

“Halo” developer 343 Industries also mentioned in a blog post that so far the podcast has been listened to over 6.7 million times, and for a while was ranked number one in the Video Games and Games & Hobbies lists in the iTunes Podcast Charts.
