Halo Combat Evolved: Anniversary is set for a November 15 release on Xbox 360. The game’s menu has an extra option called ‘Extra’ which is under speculation that it may be an access to Halo 4 Beta.

The Extras option in the menu is also seen as a marketing tactic by Bungie who are set to release Halo’s Combat Evolved which will be remastered on the game’s 10th anniversary.

Nothing specific has been known till date about the anniversary edition but it is expected that more information will unfold at the Halofest that will be held in PAX that is scheduled for August end, according to a GotGame report.

“The number one most important thing is that campaign should feel like the original campaign. When your pick up a modern shooter like a 360 controller it feels like the game just came out yesterday and nothing much changed,” Frank O’Connor, franchise director for Halo, told IGN. “The multiplayer is the hardest part. A huge amount of people wanted the original multiplayer engine.”

Halo Anniversary will be packed with seven of the most popular multiplayer maps in Halo history ready for Xbox LIVE. The game will also include a variety of new features including cooperative play over Xbox LIVE, Achievements, new challenges, and new fiction to uncover. It was also confirmed that the remake will feature Kinect support, making it the first Halo game to include Kinect.

The upcoming Halo 4 is intended to be the first of a new trilogy of Halo series games. The game will be developed by 343 Industries. Master Chief will return as the main protagonist. The game expected to arrive on the fourth quarter of 2012 for Xbox 360.

“Set in the aftermath of Halo 3, Master Chief returns to confront his own destiny and face an ancient evil that threatens the fate of the entire universe. Halo 4 marks the start of a new trilogy that begins with its release in 2012,” the official website says.
