Is “Halo Wars” coming to Steam? This is what notorious leakster and game modder/data miner Gamecheat13 answered in the latest tidbit he leaked via Twitter over the weekend. Based on his leak, the real-time strategy game could be releasing on Valve’s digital distribution platform, causing a frenzy among fans who waited for such good news to arrive.

On Saturday, Gamecheat13 leaked a photo of his latest attempt to getting more information about Microsoft Studios’ plan forBungie, Ensemble Studios and Robot Entertainment’s game. In the picture he shared, a notification is shown on a computer screen and it says: “Your status in Steam is currently offline. Please make sure your internet connection and Steam connection is active.” In his tweet, Gamecheat13 stated that this is already the proof that “Halo Wars” is coming to Steam soon.

For those not familiar with Gamecheat13 and his leaks, Ubergizmo says the “Halo” modder has proven himself in the past by leaking the “Halo Wars 2” soundtrack. This even led Microsoft to ban him from Xbox Live. He is also known for outing certain “Halo” news before they even make it in a press release.

Per usual, Microsoft has not confirmed this leak yet, so it’s best to hear it straight from the horse’s mouth before jumping for joy. It is also unclear if the latest “Halo” installment, “Halo Wars 2,” could be making it to Valve’s digital distribution platform, as per DSOGaming.

Should “Halo Wars” The Definite Edition make its way to Steam, it would be the third “Halo” title to launch on the platform. The first one was “Halo: Spartan Assault,” which was released in 2014. The second title was “Halo: Spartan Strike” that came in 2015, as pointed out by Geek Reply.

“Halo Wars” was launched only for the Xbox 360 and PC via the Windows Store. Players who preordered the game were given access to the Xbox One port, which is only available to those who bought the Ultimate Edition of the game.
